Service Description

This is an entirely practical two-hour class/workshop. We learn by doing. The class is divided into very short relaxation sessions. In each session we cover one aspect of breathing and relaxation. The different aspects show us how to release tension, calm the nerves, slow down and create space in the mind. Using a unique blend of meditation and breathing, approaching everything with awareness, we work on every layer of our being at the same time. All these aspects are then put together into one seamless technique, leading us into a much quieter place, which naturally leads into the territory of calmness mediation where we start exploring really resting at ease. There will be time for questions and answers to clarify anything that needs to be. Audio is provided for guided practice at home so that you can do the technique whenever you like. Handouts/notes are also provided which review and explain each aspect of the practice. Also included is a discount towards the two month calmness meditation course should you wish to explore things further.  Topics covered include: the body, breath and mind connection - using the breath to slow and stop the mind - using the breath to release tension - awareness and sensation as the key to relaxation - the art of doing nothing - body breathing - uncovering natural ease - the real causes of agitation and anxiety - how we inadvertently create much of our own stress - the relaxation response - relaxation in daily life - why relaxation is a prerequisite for meditation
