Calmer and Quieter offers a straightforward, systematic approach to relaxation and calmness of mind.
It is all about how we can feel better and at ease. 

As we relax with and into the body and the breath,
we connect with the rhythm of things as they are.
In this simplicity, a quiet stillness opens up,
and we let go of doing into the ease of simply being

We start off with relaxation.
Here we start learning how to work with the breath and the mind together to relax effectively. We learn how to calm the nerves, slow down, release tension and create space in the mind. All of this is covered in the relaxation.

Then, calmness.
Once we are familiar with relaxing everything there is a natural evolution towards calmness and meditation.

Here we develop a quiet and stable presence, familiarising ourselves with the relaxation of just being
as we cultivate calmness.

Calmer and Quieter is run by David.
David teaches techniques for relaxation based on thirty years of meditation practice and study in many traditions. Though from the UK, he has lived in Asia for over thirty years, spending time in monasteries and meditation centres. He has a Master's Degree in Buddhist Studies from the University of Hong Kong and has spent almost a year on silent retreats. He specialises in teaching in as accessible and straightforward a manner as possible.
