This is an awareness based class that incorporates breathwork, postures/asana and meditation.
Using the thread of the breath fused with awareness throughout the class, we work through the body, pacifying the nervous system, and then allow the whole mind/body/breath system to settle into stillness –
laying the ground for meditation.

The approach here is not at all about what we can do, but how we do it.
It is fundamentally a meditation class.
The breathwork and breath-centred postures are simply the preparation for meditation, though they are not separate from it.

The 90 minute class structure is roughly as follows:
5 minutes - gentle breathwork, harmonising mind, breath and sensation
50 minutes - awareness and breath-infused body as sensation practice / asana
5 minutes - breathwork - opening into space
25 minutes - meditation

The class can be a bit challenging, so do be prepared for that.
The breath/awareness/sensation focus that we adopt with the postures/asanas takes some getting used to.
Having said that, no prior experience is required at all, just an open mind.
As they say, Zen mind, beginner's mind.
Please have your webcam on. Though this is online, we strive to create as much of a group atmosphere as possible.
(The class is not recorded.) It is also much easier for David to teach if he can see you!
